MIKE'S MLB RUNLINE GAME OF THE MONTH GOES TUESDAY NIGHT ~ 10-3 RUNLINE RUN!

Philadelphia vs. Boston, 08/20/2019 19:10 EDT

Total: +101/+11 Over

Sportsbook: PinnacleSports

Philadelphia Phillies' ace Aaron Nola (11-3, 3.56 ERA) has been outstanding in recent months, but here he'll take on a Boston Red Sox team that averages 6.05 runs per game home at Fenway Park.

Note that over is 9-2 in Nola's last 11 starts vs. a team with a winning record and 13-3 in Red Sox last 16 home games vs. a team with a winning record.

While I expect the Red Sox to score fast and easy, the same should be true for the Phillies as they'll face left-hander Brian Johnson (1-1, 6.45 ERA). Johnson will get a spot start filling in for Chris Sale and has made just 10 appearances (five starts) on the season.

The over is 7-0 in Johnson's last 7 home starts and I like the visitors to keep him busy.

New York vs. Oakland, 08/20/2019 22:07 EDT

I'm doing something I haven't done in six years - back Homer Bailey. Actually, it's not nearly Bailey but the A's I want going for me in this opener of a three-game series being played in Oakland.

The Yankees are traveling east to west. They do not have a good history in Oakland where they have lost six of the last seven times. A lot of the power hitting AL East teams have problems dealing not only with the three-hour time change but the spacious dimensions of Oakland Coliseum.

The A's have won 67 percent of their last 107 home games. They are 13-3 following an off day and 20-7 the past 27 times at home when going against a righty starter. New York is throwing righthanded Domingo German.

German leads the majors in wins with 16. He also has nearly a 4.00 ERA and is due for regression.

The Yankees are not a team I like to go against. Do note, though, their impressive 83-43 record is bolstered by going 17-2 against the Orioles.

Bailey always is live to come up with a clunker. But he is a good fit when pitching in Oakland where not all of his mistakes are costly because of the ballpark configuration. Bailey has had five good performances during his past seven starts and is coming off a two-hit, seven inning shut out of the Giants this past Thursday with a 7-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. That game was at Oracle Park, another pitcher's park.

Bailey has tamed the Yankees before beating them 6-1 at Yankee Stadium in April.

(Editor's note: Stephen Nover is sizzling this month going 19-9 on his premium/free baseball plays, including cashing eight underdog winners. Stephen just cashed a 13-run winner with the Nationals on Monday and today he has another huge guaranteed winner with his Run Line Game of the Week.

Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #271 Take Houston Texans over Dallas Cowboys (7p.m., Saturday, August 24) The Cowboys had a long trip back from the Islands and expect them to be a little rusty in this game. Houston has averaged 29 points per game in their first two exhibition games and that should be good enough to win this game. Dallas is averaging just 11.5 points per game and they have issues with holdouts that could affect how long the starters play in this game. Take the visitor in this battle of Texas. Ottawa vs. Saskatchewan, 08/24/2019 19:00 EDT

Point Spread: +10½/-110 Ottawa

Sportsbook: Bookmaker

Saskatchewan is having a good season, winning 4 in a row and well Ottawa is not as they have now lost 6 of their L/7 overall. Tonight because of the direction and path both teams are on we get to bet into a recency bias line, that is bloated according to my power rankings charts. Despite the RedBlacks below .500 record at 3-6 Campbells troops are a hard working blue collar group that never say die and deserve my respect on a DD underdog line. Note: Ottawa has covered 14 of their L/19 as a road underdog over the last 3 seasons.

Ottawa has won and covered their L/2 visits to the Parairies and get my support here again in this spot.

SASKATCHEWAN is 4-13 ATS in home games after having won 4 out of their last 5 games since 1996.

CFL Favorites (SASKATCHEWAN) - after 3 or more consecutive straight up wins, good team, winning 60-75% or more of their games on the season are just 43-81 ATS L/22 seasons for a go against 65% conversion rate for bettors.
