Score: 38 - 0
Point Spread: -24/-115 Central Florida
Today's winner is UCF over FIU. This is my FNL play.
FIU was shellacked in Week 1 by Maryland, 43-10. The Terps eased back in the 3rd quarter and still managed to own the line of scrimmage and hold the Golden Panthers to a dismal 6.6 yards per minute of possession. QB's Hillard and Medlock combined for a 10-for-22 effort, 80 YP, 0 TD's, and 1 INT. The ground game had just a total of 101 YR on over 40 attempts. Overall, the offense tallied a mere 9 FD's. Their defense is just as poor, ranking 90th last season. UCF led Akron 38-0 in the 3rd quarter on route to their 38-7 victory. The team has averaged over 37.2 PPG in their L10 outings. QB, Blake Bortles looked sharp LW, throwing for 18 of 24, 314 YP, and 3 TD's, with 0 INT's. The running game is solid on the legs of Storm Johnson (99 YR on 20 ATT in Game 1), who had 2 scores. They have a stable of quality receivers, including Perriman, Worton, and Hall. FIU's HC, Ron Turner is a bit outdated and just doesn't have the horses to run in this one. It will get ugly. Take UCF. Thank you.
